According to prominent Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Paul Onuachu is closing in on a move to Trabzonspor.
The Nigerian striker is keen on returning to the Turkish side and has already agreed personal terms.
He is said to be impressed by the club’s project, as presented to him by head coach Fatih Tekke.
Onuachu was close to joining Trabzonspor last summer, but former Southampton manager Russell Martin convinced him to remain at the club.
However, the 30-year-old is no stranger to Trabzonspor fans, having played for the team on loan during the 2023/24 season.
He scored 15 goals in 21 league appearances—an impressive return for a side that often struggled to create clear-cut chances.
Talks between Southampton and Trabzonspor are reportedly progressing rapidly, with both clubs expected to reach an agreement soon.
