Estevao Willian proved yet again why Chelsea supporters are super excited about his summer arrival after his latest Palmeiras display.
Ever since it was confirmed that Estevao Willian, 18, is on his way to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea fans have been watching him very closely.
The Blues announced nearly a year ago that the teenage attacker will join them in the 2025 summer transfer window. In the meantime, he’s stayed with Palmeiras and continued his extraordinary development.
Estevao Willian will play at the Club World Cup this summer with Palmeiras for the final time before joining up with Chelsea for pre-season.

Estevao Willian receives standing ovation from Palmeiras fans
On Thursday, Palmeiras recorded an impressive 3-0 victory against Ceara in the Copa do Brasil.
Chelsea wonderkid Estevao stole the show with two quick-fire goals in the second half.
First, the left-footed attacker scored a rebound after his initial spot-kick was saved. Then just a couple of minutes later, he powered in a stunning finish into the roof of the net after a great individual dribble.
According to Brazilian media, the youngster received a standing ovation from the home crowd when he left the field. Globo wrote: “When he was substituted at the end of the second half, he received a standing ovation from the Palmeiras fans.”
Minutes played | Goals | Total shots | Accurate passes | Chances created | Touches in opposition box | Was fouled | Match rating |
81 | 2 | 6 | 22/24 (92%) | 5 | 10 | 1 | 9.0 |
Globo also raved about Chelsea’s rising star in their player ratings. They said: “Estevao Willian – 8/10. The name of the game. He moved a lot, suffered a penalty, took the shot (missed) and opened the scoring on the rebound, but left the highlight for the sequence: a great goal in an individual play to seal the spot. He left to much applause.”
Chelsea chiefs are excited about Estevao Willian’s arrival, especially because they can’t wait to see him link up with Blues stars Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo on the football pitch.
The 18-year-old talent will soon arrive at Stamford Bridge with such enormous pressure and expectation on his shoulders, but he’s looked mature beyond his years as a key first-team star at Palmeiras for over a year.

Estevao Willian admits he will miss Palmeiras
Speaking after his latest wonderful display, Estevao spoke about his imminent Palmeiras exit to join Chelsea.
The Brazilian teenager told Globo: “Feeling of gratitude, because at the same time that I’m leaving here, I’m going to live a dream. I’m trying to enjoy this place as much as possible, because I’m going to miss it.”
Estevao Willian doesn’t enjoy comparisons to Lionel Messi because he’s trying to be his own player.
We expect the English media will have a field day when the potential superstar joins up with Chelsea in a couple of months time, but the youngster should be allowed some time to adjust to life in a new country.
