The future is looking pretty unclear for one Chelsea player as the club prepare for a number of new signings to come through the door.

Nicolas Jackson found the net in the Conference League final last week, however has no clarity over his place in the attack going forwards.

Enzo Maresca hinted Chelsea need a new striker straight after the win against Real Betis, and the club have already acted on this as they close in on announcing Liam Delap.

With talks continuing over a potential deal for Hugo Ekitike too, the future is not looking so bright for the Senegal international. Jackson is unhappy amid reports of mass change up top.

Chelsea could offer Nicolas Jackson in deal for £90m star

Striker is not the only position they are looking at, with a left-winger being high up on their list of priorities this summer. Morgan Rogers has cropped up as one of their more ambitious targets.

However, Chelsea believe a deal for Rogers can be done, and are now in the knowledge that they can offer the player Champions League football, after demoting his current club to the Europa League.

According to Simon Phillips, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is a massive fan of Jackson, which could encourage Chelsea to offer a package that sees the striker go the other way.

He said on his Substack: “Chelsea are sensing that Morgan Rogers could be available this summer and he stays firmly on the radar. Chelsea are prepared to bid for him and could be encouraged by the fact that Aston Villa, or more accurately, Unai Emery, really likes both Joao Felix and Nicolas Jackson.

“The latter has become a bit unhappy at Chelsea this season and it’s unclear whether he now wants out or not. Something could be done here either way.”

Enzo Maresca has Morgan Rogers plan

Rogers is reportedly available for £90m this summer (GiveMeSport), and Chelsea would definitely be looking to get that price down in any way they can.

Any transfers completed this summer will likely be run past Maresca first, given the manager achieved the goals set for him in his first season at Stamford Bridge.

It has already been reported that Maresca has a plan for Rogers, with him believing he can solve their issues on the left of attack.

This could play a part in bringing an end to Jadon Sancho’s time at the club. There is still no clarity as to whether Chelsea will send him back to Manchester United now his loan spell is over.
