Even though Noni Madueke is still under contract at Chelsea until 2030, his name is popping up in the transfer rumour mill.

Noni Madueke, 23, has been an important player in the Chelsea squad since he arrived at Stamford Bridge two and a half years ago.

The skilful winger has popped up with some big moments so far in his Blues career, and he’s just enjoyed his most productive season to date under Enzo Maresca‘s management.

However, the England international is linked with a potential move away from West London. It’s been reported that Chelsea will accept any suitable offers for Madueke in this summer transfer window if clubs decide to bid for him.

Enzo Maresca insists Noni Madueke is in Chelsea’s plans next season despite speculation

During a press conference on Thursday evening, Chelsea head coach Maresca sounded pretty convinced that Madueke will be in his squad going into next season.

When asked if he anticipates Madueke staying with Chelsea this summer amid speculation, Maresca said via Chelsea’s YouTube channel: “Noni is our player. In this moment, you can read speculation about many players. But Noni is our player. We consider Noni our player for next season.”

Newcastle have enquired about Madueke already this summer, but Chelsea won’t entertain conversations for anything less than £50m.

Previous reports explained that Chelsea believe Madueke’s development has stalled and they could be open to potential offers. However, Maresca seems to suggest that the wide man is going nowhere in this transfer window.

Chelsea must keep Noni Madueke after opting not to sign Jadon Sancho

Maresca has already hinted Chelsea need a new left-winger added to the squad because they look light in that area. If Madueke exits as well, it would leave them with a lot of work to do this summer when it comes to incomings.

It’s obvious that Madueke can frustrate at times because his form blows hot and cold, but he’s got a special individual talent with plenty of room still to grow. It’s worth remembering that he’s still only aged 23, too.

We feel Madueke needs at least one more season fighting for his Chelsea spot before even thinking about his future.
