Chelsea supporters have begun to lose patience with Nicolas Jackson following his second red card in four appearances for the club.
Jackson was sent off just minutes after coming on to replace Liam Delap in their second Club World Cup game against Flamengo. They would go on to be defeated 3-1.
John Obi Mikel was scathing of Jackson in his post-match analysis, and he added to his ongoing Premier League suspension with at least a one game ban in the Club World Cup.
Despite already bringing Delap into their ranks, it appears the Blues are not done with their pursuit of a new striker, and reports of interest have flared up again following Jackson’s red card.
Chelsea enter talks for Randal Kolo Muani after Nicolas Jackson red card
One player who could be on the move this summer is Randal Kolo Muani. The Frenchman is currently on loan from PSG to Juventus, however he did pick up a Champions League winners medal.
It looks like Chelsea have entered the fray to sign the striker. According to L’Equipe, the Blues have begun discussions with the Ligue 1 side over the possible signing this summer.
Another striker signing would cast real doubt over the Senegal international’s future at Stamford Bridge, despite hitting double digits in the Premier League in both his seasons at the club.
It has been claimed that Jackson is now not untouchable as far as Chelsea are concerned, despite having a contract which extends to 2033.
Kolo Muani 24/25 stats
Kolo Muani spent a large part of the season injured, however he still hit just two fewer goals in the league than Jackson managed.

The France international, who featured in the World Cup final in 2022 against Enzo Fernandez, has enjoyed a strong start to the ongoing Club World Cup, a competition where Chelsea also feature.
Despite playing just 71 minutes so far in the competition, he has two goals to his name, and is showing the abilities which have left the Blues interested in signing him.
He would by no means be a guaranteed starter at Stamford Bridge though due to the signing of Delap, and the extortionate price fee PSG paid for the player could see them unwilling to part ways for a decent price.
