Pundit Roy Keane was left amazed by the performance of two Chelsea players in tonight’s big FA Cup win against Aston Villa.

He told ITV Sport that he believes both Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo actually had their best games for the club since joining at Villa Park tonight.

Chelsea went some way to silencing a number of doubters who cropped up based off their recent results and performances.

They picked up a 3-1 win to book their place in the fifth round of the competition, where they will take on Leeds United at Stamford Bridge.

Fernandez put the finishing touches on the result with a sensational free-kick that put the Blues into what turned out to be an unassailable lead.

He was joined in midfield by a Caicedo who looked hungry and motivated off the back of plenty of criticism heading his way at the weekend.

Keane was full of praise for the duo, believing they ticked all the boxes that were required tonight.

He said: “Absolutely outstanding. The two of them dominated that midfield. Villa were very poor but they looked strong, they looked aggressive. Their passing was short, decision making was excellent. They looked strong, physical. Two midfielders for Chelsea – outstanding.”

With the pricetags the club paid for both players, it is fair for many to expect these kind of performances on a regular basis for the Blues.

Now though, it will all be about keeping that form up in what is set to be a massive month for the club, and the manager in particular.
