Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino remains in a job for now, but that has not stopped several other managers from being linked to the Stamford Bridge dugout.
Mauricio Pochettino signed a two-year contract when he joined Chelsea last summer, but there are now doubts about the Argentine entering the last 12 months of it.
That is because the Blues are performing so poorly in the Premier League right now, finding themselves in the bottom half of the table.
It has actually been claimed that some Chelsea players have already made it clear to the club’s owners that they want Pochettino gone in the summer.
In terms of potential replacements, the likes of Barcelona’s Xavi and Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim have both been mentioned.

It is April. Neither Xavi nor Amorim are likely to take up the Chelsea job now if Pochettino is sacked before the end of the season.
In fact, Amorim, who is thought to be on the Blues’ radar, may not be willing to accept any new position when this campaign finishes.

The 39-year-old has been speaking about his future, with journalist Ben Jacobs sharing what he had to say on X.
“Right now, I’m focused on Sporting,” Amorim said. “I’m so proud to be Sporting’s coach. We’re focused on winning titles.
“You’ll see in the end, but I’ve a contract and I’m happy here. That’s the most important thing, more than a contract, that I’m happy here.”

Even if Amorim becomes open to accepting a new challenge this summer, Chelsea could still find it difficult to lure him to Stamford Bridge. Why? Well they are not the only club who are interested in the Portuguese.
According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, while the Blues are monitoring Amorim amid Pochettino’s struggles, he is also on Liverpool’s list.
The Reds know that Jurgen Klopp will definitely be leaving in the summer, whereas Pochettino’s future has not been decided yet.
It means Liverpool can lay the groundwork to bringing Amorim in now, while you also suspect he would probably choose one of this season’s title contenders over a Chelsea side sitting in 11th.
