Milly Alcock was cast as Supergirl in James Gunn’s DCU back in January.
There have long been rumblings that she will appear in David Corenswet‘s Superman film before making her debut in her solo outing Woman of Tomorrow.
Now, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Kara-el Zol will officially make her DCU debut in Superman whose filming is currently underway.
It’s unclear if Alcock has filmed her scenes for the movie yet. There were reports that she was in Cleveland when a shooting took place on the streets of “Metropolis” a few weeks ago.

It also remains to be seen how significant her role will be in the film.
With so many other characters involved, it’s possible Alcock might only appear for a brief cameo, perhaps even in the movie’s post-credits scene.
The House of Dragon star will subsequently play Supergirl in DCU’s Woman of Tomorrow, whose filming is set to commence this fall with Craig Gillespie taking the reins.
