Police were called to a property in Wickham Street, Fortitude Valley, at about 3am, after reports of a stabbing.
They found a 35-year-old woman with an injury to her neck.
She was taken to hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.
A 30-year-old Kedron man was arrested and charged with several offences, including attempt to murder and sexual assault.
He was refused bail to face court this morning.
