Adrian Romeo, 43, was last seen alive at his Dempster Drive address in Craigieburn on February 10 after telling his family he was going to Greenvale to visit some associates.
Police believe the 43-year-old may have met with foul play.
Victoria Police confirmed they executed a warrant at a rural property on Wildwood Road in Wildwood near the intersections of Emu Flats Road and Southern Plains Road.
Wildwood is located about 21km from Craigieburn.
Romeo’s phone and bank cards have remained untouched since his disappearance.
“He has just disappeared and there was nothing going on in Adrian’s life at that time that we are aware of that gives any reason for him to go missing,” Detective Inspector Dean Thomas said over the weekend.
“Adrian has more than likely met with foul play and is now deceased.”
Thomas said Romeo did not have any links to criminal groups.
The 43-year-old is described as having a close circle of friends and a tight-knit family.
