Drea de Matteo, known for her iconic role in The Sopranos, has recently come under fire after revealing that her 13-year-old son, Waylon, assists her in editing content for her OnlyFans account.
This disclosure was made during an appearance on the Not Today, Pal podcast, where she openly discussed her approach to managing her OnlyFans content.
De Matteo explained that while her son helps with editing photos, he does not see any explicit material.
“Before you start, your son was outside saying he edits your OnlyFans photos,” The host told de Matteo.
“Oh yeah. He’s like, ‘So what do you want me to do with the bikini line here?’ ” the mom of two says.
“Yeah, so you don’t have to apologize to them, I don’t think,”
She takes care to consult with both of her children, Waylon and her 16-year-old daughter, Alabama, to ensure they are comfortable with the content she shares.
This approach, she argues, is similar to how she would involve them if she were performing similar roles in films.
The actress’s decision to join OnlyFans stemmed from severe financial difficulties. In 2023, she found herself with just $10 in her bank account and turned to OnlyFans as a means to secure financial stability.
“No. But they don’t see the girl shots. But I do go over that with them before I ever put them out,” De Matteo explained.
“I was like, ‘Are you okay with this?’ Because it’s like, if I were to do it in a movie, because I would make out with girls in movies all day long before I’d even make out with boys.”
She credits the platform with enabling her to pay off her mortgage and supporting her family during a challenging period.
