Chelsea signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been discussing what it has been like settling in at his new club so far.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall arrived at Chelsea from Leicester City earlier this month and has now jetted off to the United States with the rest of his team for their pre-season tour.
His move to Stamford Bridge has seen him swiftly reunite with Enzo Maresca, with the pair working together at Leicester last season.
Chelsea were not lacking midfield options before the 25-year-old’s arrival, with the club possessing the likes of Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher.
But Chelsea see a difference between Dewsbury-Hall and Gallagher, for example, despite the two Englishmen both being box-to-box midfielders.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall on life at Chelsea
With Dewsbury-Hall knowing a lot of the Chelsea coaching staff, with most of them being part of Maresca’s backroom team at Leicester, it has not been difficult for him to settle in at the club’s Cobham training ground.
Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, Dewsbury-Hall said: “Having a history with the staff has certainly helped.
“They’re all really top guys but also fantastic coaches who keep things professional. That was nice to see them again after a long summer off.”
The former Leicester man will now be hoping to have a good pre-season so that he can start Chelsea’s first game of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign, which is a huge one against champions Manchester City.
Chelsea fans will get a chance to look at their new signings in America
Dewsbury-Hall is obviously not the only Chelsea signing who has been included in the Blues’ squad for their pre-season tour of America.
Tosin Adarabioyo, Renato Veiga and Marc Guiu are also in, so it could be quite an exciting pre-season for Chelsea supporters, who have new additions to watch.
The Blues have also brought in Omari Kellyman from Aston Villa this summer. But Kellyman is currently injured and has been left at home as a result.
With the likes of Christopher Nkunku, Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke around, though, Maresca should still have enough attackers in his squad for this trip to the States. First up for the Blues is a friendly against Wrexham.
