Chelsea’s transfer business is by no means complete as they get their pre-season tour of the United States underway.

The 2-2 draw last night with Wrexham will seem an unconvincing result, however new manager Enzo Maresca will still have taken a number of positives from the display.

While a plethora of first team stars and youngsters were given the opportunity to show what they can do, a number of players who were left off the tour look to have serious doubts over their futures.

The highlight name on this list is Trevoh Chalobah, with supporters not pleased with the treatment of him as they look to sell him.

Another player who did not make the trip to the United States was Cesare Casadei, despite being named in the squad pretty much every week in the second half of the season.

Four clubs interested in Cesare Casadei

Reports have begun to suggest that there are a number of clubs interested in signing him this summer as they sense that he may not have too much involvement in the upcoming season.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has stated that there are as many as four teams who are keen on making a move for the Italian.

He said: “Fiorentina have made contact with Chelsea for Cesare Casadei, with club expected to decide if they want to advance in talks this week. There are 3/4 clubs keen on signing Casadei.”

Casadei one of Todd Boehly’s first signings

Casadei was one of the first signings made since Todd Boehly took over as the Chelsea owner, however is yet to really breakthrough as an important player at Stamford Bridge.

He has previously been described as ‘really good’ by Roberto Mancini, with him knocking on the door of the Italian national team.

New manager Maresca has experience working with him already from his loan spell away at Leicester City, although it was brought to an end in January.

Given he is not even getting the chance to show his talents in the United States, the future is certainly not looking bright for the youngster right now.
