The highly anticipated Season 2 finale of House of the Dragon has leaked online ahead of its scheduled premiere on August 4.
Leaked clips from the finale have spreaded spoilers everywhere, causing a frenzy among fans.
Approximately 30 minutes of footage made its way onto social media platforms, leaving viewers torn between curiosity and the desire to avoid spoilers.
The leaked content can be traced back to a now-banned TikTok account that uploaded snippets from the upcoming climax.
The account was banned approximately three hours after the scenes were posted.
However, by that time, they had already been saved and shared across other social media platforms, allowing unsuspecting fans to easily come across them with just a simple scroll.
HBO confirmed that the leak resulted from an “unintentional release from an international third-party distributor.”
The network is actively investigating the incident and taking measures to prevent further leaks.
Viewers quickly expressed their frustration over the leak, urging HBO to take stronger measures to protect the show.
A fan posted on X tagging HBO, “A f**king tragedy. Your Security Team has always been a disgrace with this franchise. Would you do something about it at some point or what?”
A second user added, “HBO security worse than king’s landing.”
“That f**king sucks man. It’s Tuesday. How are you gonna avoid spoilers until Sunday night?”, a third one expressed his concern.
