Two young men will face court after an alleged brawl at a shopping centre on the New South Wales Central Coast earlier this month.

At about 7 pm on Thursday, July 11, police were called to a shopping centre on Bay Village Road, Bateau Bay, when a group of young people were fighting in a food court.

The group fled the scene before police arrived.

No injuries were reported, but police seized a hammer for forensic examination.

At about 11.40 am yesterday, two men, aged 18 and 20, attended Wyong Police Station and were arrested and charged with affray.

The 20-year-old was refused bail to appear in court today.

The 18-year-old was granted conditional bail to appear in court on August 21.

The investigation is ongoing.
