A man has been arrested at Sydney Airport after a deadly hit-and-run collision last month.

At about 11.45pm on Sunday, June 30, emergency services were called to Abell Road, Melonba, in Sydney’s west.

They found an injured man, believed to be in his late 70s, by the side of the road.

At about 11.30am yesterday, police arrested a 32-year-old man on his return to Australia at Sydney International Airport.

He was charged with multiple offences including failing to stop and assist after a collision, and dangerous driving occasioning death.

He was refused bail and will appear in court today.
