The show stars Lior Raz, Doron Ben-David, Boaz Konforty, Laetitia Eido, Shadi Mar’i, Ron-Lee Shimon, Idan Amedi, Hisham Suliman, Yaakov Zada Daniel, Itzik Cohen and Tomer Capone.
Its synopsis reads: ‘Doron, an Israeli soldier, comes out of retirement and goes undercover to hunt down a deadly terrorist he thought he had eliminated.’
Fauda, meaning ‘chaos’ or ‘mess’ in Arabic, was filmed in Kafr Qasim – an Israeli city with a predominantly Arab population – during the 2014 Gaza War, while season three of the show is set in the Gaza Strip.
The show, which was developed by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff, is based on the duo’s experiences while serving in the Israel Defense Forces.
Doron, the main character, is a commander in the Mista’arvim unit, with the first series focusing on his and his team’s pursuit of a terrorist.
Featuring dialogue in both Hebrew and Arabic, Fauda is internationally available to watch on Netflix.
