Kate Garraway ridiculed Prince Harry‘s pettiness this morning as she expressed disbelief he used his memoir to grind axes over the size of his childhood bedroom.
The Good Morning Britain presenter, 55, signaled surprise the Duke had grumbled about his quarters in Balmoral Castle, given the current cost of living crisis.
Kate – who has won two NTA awards – sounded exasperated as she pointed out many were worried about surviving on their wages while Harry complained about his stately home bed chambers.
And co-host Ben Shepherd appeared utterly bemused as he pointed out the Duke’s gripe about the older brother getting the biggest room was common in families across the world.

Harry’s book was leaked yesterday as Spain put it up for sale in shops the week before its publication date.
Since then its entire contents have been analysed, leaving very little for those who had pre-paid their hard-earned money for the Penguin publication this Monday.
ITV royal editor Chris Ship said on Good Morning Britain: ‘Talking in the book, as we now know he did, about William in Balmoral had the bigger bedroom and the double bed and he had the wardrobe with the mirrors and I had the shady corner if you like.’

Kate then added ‘It sounds so petty though’ to which Chris agreed ‘It sounds petty’.
She then declared: ‘People out there [are] worried about paying their bills. The idea he was worried about the size of a wardrobe doesn’t sound like the Harry that did all these wonderful things.’
Ben then said: ‘That’s not unusual in families anyway. My oldest brother had the biggest bedroom.
‘That was part of it. As soon as my brother had left I moved into the big bedroom.’
Chris seemed in agreement at the trivial details Harry had highlighted, and said: ‘I didn’t think when we were going to be talking about Harry’s book I would be talking about a broken necklace and a dog bowl and we are.’
Harry has alleged that there was a fight between him and the Prince of Wales after he called Meghan Markle ‘difficult’, ‘rude’ and ‘abrasive’. Harry’s book also reveals that William warned him against proposing.
Harry claimed the stand-up row in Nottingham Cottage – his Kensington Palace flat – ended with William grabbing him by the collar and throwing him to the floor, shattering a dog bowl. His back was scraped and bruised, he said.

In a newly released clip from ITV’s forthcoming interview with Harry, the duke said his brother was so frustrated during the incident, which reportedly took place in 2019, he saw ‘red mist in him’.
‘He wanted me to hit him back, but I chose not to,’ he says of his brother. In the clip released early today, Harry tells his friend Tom Bradby: ‘What was different here was the level of frustration, and I talk about the red mist that I had for so many years, and I saw this red mist in him.’
The short clip from the ITV interview, which is due to be broadcast on Sunday, also had Harry addressing the drug use detailed in Spare.
Mr Bradby tells the duke: ‘There’s a fair amount of drugs [in the book]. Marijuana, magic mushrooms, cocaine. I mean, that’s going to surprise people.’
The duke appears to agree and says it was ‘important to acknowledge’.
The royal also states he wants to reconcile with his family – something which he says cannot happen without ‘some accountability’.
‘I want reconciliation,’ he says, ‘but, first, there needs to be some accountability’. The duke also states: ‘The truth, supposedly, at the moment, has been there’s only one side of the story, right? But, there’s two sides to every story.’
It comes after Harry reportedly alleged in his book William had called his American wife Meghan ‘difficult’, ‘rude’ and ‘abrasive’ – comments which the younger brother said parroted ‘the Press narrative’ about his wife.
