Queen Letizia of Spain could have been mistaken for a Hollywood star as she arrived on the blue carpet at a film festival in Palma de Mallorca last night.
The Spanish Queen, 52, joined Hollywood royalty Michael Douglas, 79, at the closing ceremony of the Atlantida Mallorca Film Fest 2024 to commemorate this year’s nominees and winners.
As she arrived at the event, Letizia glowed in a slinky metallic dress and strappy sandals; a combination fit for a Hollywood star.
During the ceremony, which was held outside in the balmy Mallorcan weather, Letizia presented Douglas with the prestigious Masters of Cinema award.

The actor, 79, is known as a theatrical heavyweight, having across the decades starred in hits including Basic Instinct, Fatal Attraction and Wonder Boys.
Her appearance at the closing ceremony came after she had hopped back to her home nation from Paris, where she and King Felipe had attended the Olympics 2024 Opening Ceremony.
The Spaniard was no doubt relieved to return to a warmer climate, after she was pictured looking glum during the proceedings which were a washout.
The royal mother-of-two stood next to her husband while the pair were kitted out in disposable plastic ponchos and watched on as the heavens opened on the ceremony.
Earlier last week, the Queen looked elegant in a vibrant floral print dress as she chaired the annual meeting of the Cervantes Institute in Barcelona.
Letizia had dressed smartly for the heatwave engulfing Spain in the lightweight €850 Carolina Herrera fuchsia gown.
She joined the Mayor of Barcelona Jaume Collboni and director of the Cervantes Institute Luis Garcia Montero to attend the annual meeting of directors at the City Hall.
Cervantes promotes Spanish culture and the learning of the language, and Letizia has been deeply involved with its mission statement for many years.
The Spanish Queen’s outing on Tuesday marked her first solo public engagement this month – after the latest bombshell claims made by her ex-brother-in-law, who alleges that he had an ‘affair’ with the royal after her marriage to King Felipe.

She paired the look with white sandals from BOSS with a chunky heel, which is also one of the Spanish monarch’s favourite brands.
Letizia’s make-up was typically glowy, while she accessorised with her beloved freshwater pearl earrings from Catalan company TOUS.
She was greeted by a huge turn out outside the City Hall, all hoping to catch a glimpse of royalty.
With her husband King Felipe VI being the Institute’s honorary president, Letizia has always been deeply involved with its mission statement.
The organisation, which was created in 1991 and is in its 32nd year, aims to promote Spanish culture and language throughout the world.
In recent years, Letizia has opened several centres around the world, including in South America.
