Filming on the MCU’s Fantastic Four reboot has officially commenced in London.
Star Pedro Pascal took to Instagram to share the exciting production update on the high-anticipated reboot.
In the behind-the-scenes photo, Pascal is seen with his co-stars Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, all smiling as they embark on their “first mission” together.
Pascal also shared a picture of WandaVision director Matt Shakman, who will be directing the Marvel Studios film from a screenplay penned by Josh Friedman.
Plot details on the reboot are being kept tightly under wraps but it will be a 1960s-period piece set in an alternate MCU timeline.
It will mark the beginning of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which kicks off after the release of Thunderbolts* in May 2025, the final movie of Phase 5. Phase 6 will also feature Blade and two Avengers films.
Fantastic Four will feature Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (the Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (the Thing).
In addition to the four core members of Fantastic Four, the upcoming film will feature Ralph Ineson, Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne, and Julia Garner in supporting roles.
Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four is set to hit theatres on July 25, 2025.
