Gary Cahill has just shared what he thinks Chelsea should do next in this summer transfer window.
Chelsea have certainly been very aggressive in the last few weeks when it comes to the transfer market, which is why we’ve seen several players join the squad.
The new signings include Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tosin Adarabioyo, Renato Veiga and Caleb Wiley.
It’s also been reported on Saturday morning by journalist Fabrizio Romano via X that Chelsea may sign Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen this weekend. He’s a 22-year-old gloveman renowned for being fantastic with the ball at his feet.

Gary Cahill tells Chelsea to sign older players
Gary Cahill, the former Chelsea captain, has said he’d love to see the Blues recruit some more experienced individuals during what’s left of the summer window.
“I’d like to see a little bit of experience added in the window, to be honest,” Cahill told The Sun.
“That would be a sensible play from Chelsea, from my personal point of view, to try and build that spine and knit together some of these young players.
“Obviously, the tactic has been to buy exciting young players to then develop over the next two or three years. That sometimes takes time, especially when you get players from different leagues, different countries. It’s not always easy for them to settle.
“For me, a good transfer window for Chelsea would be to have two or three experienced players that are not phased and potentially know the league but have been around a little bit.
“That would be vital in terms of getting the squad together and helping these young players to progress and almost set the standards and the levels.”
Chelsea’s squad on pre-season is so young
When you look at the Blues squad in the United States for pre-season, you can see just how young the group is.
Marcus Bettinelli, 32, is the only individual in the touring Chelsea party actually aged over 30. He’s just a reserve goalkeeper, too.
The oldest outfield player there is 29-year-old winger Raheem Sterling. That’s followed by 27-year-old defender Ben Chilwell.
Adarabioyo and Dewsbury-Hall, who are 26 and 25, both joined in the summer as individuals with some level of experience. But there’s still an alarming lack of know-how in the dressing room, so listening to Cahill’s transfer advice could be the smart thing for the club to do.
The summer departure of veteran 39-year-old centre-back Thiago Silva could leave a significant hole in the Chelsea squad.
