It’s gonna blow!’ Shocking moment two boaters leap into the water off the coast of Michigan as vessel erupts in flames

The shocking moment two boaters leapt into the water off the coast of Michigan as their vessel erupted into flames has been captured on video. 

The pair were trapped on board a 21-foot Baja as it went caught fire on West Grand Traverse Bay.

Nathan Greenwood and his wife were boating nearby and spotted the speed boat engulfed in black smoke. 

Video shows the Greenwoods approaching the boat as flames, which appeared to have started in the engine compartment, become visible.

They warn the two passengers on board that it is too late to try to tackle the blaze and they needed to get away from the boat.

Nathan shouted: ‘It’s too late. Get off the boat. It’s gonna blow.’

The passengers jumped overboard seconds before the engine appears to blow. 

The Greenwoods managed to pull the stranded boaters safely out of the water.

An emergency boat, equipped with a hose, arrived at the scene to extinguish the blaze.

The boat ultimately sank, according to local reports,

‘I knew very quickly that if they did not get off the boat, they were either going to pass out from the inhalation of the smoke, the heat, or it would end up eventually exploding,’ Nathan said of the July 21 incident. ‘It’s really fortunate, because within three seconds of them jumping off of the boat, it exploded.’
