A Tesla‘s camera captured footage from inside a tornado that struck Louisiana, killing at least three and toppling over a semi-truck.

A Tesla sitting outside a Gretna home captured the moment an EF-2 hit the town close to New Orleans, with strong winds and heavy rainfall.

In a matter of seconds, the cameras become obscured by the circular wind and several angles show a flash of lights and debris as the tornado rolled through. The once clean roadway became littered with broken wood and the truck across the street turned over.

Overhead footage, captured by Fox 8 Live, showed the house across the street with its roof entirely ripped off, leaving behind a mess of debris. The home next to it also appears to have it’s roof ripped off, but the surrounding homes were left with minimal damage.

A total of 21 tornados hit the state within 24 hours on Wednesday, and at least six were injured and three people are dead following the twisters. A grandmother, Allison Alexander, 56, lost her life when a tornado ripped through her home.

The deadly twister struck Killona and tore apart her mobile home, Nola.com reported. Alexander’s body was found under a pile of debris in her neighbor’s driveway with serious head injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alexander’s grandsons, four and nine, and her sister Yvette Raymond, 53, were also injured during the twister. The nine-year-old suffered a broken leg and was hospitalized.

Her other family members – a 10-year-old grandson, two other boys, and a male friend – were also inside the home during the event, but were not injured.

The only part of Alexander’s home left standing was the metal frame the mobile home sat on.

Her family and friends remembered her as a positive soul that could talk to just about anyone.

Her neighbor Anthony White, 44, remembered her as being ‘so nice.’ He said: ‘She always had a smile on her face.’

The grandmother was born and raised in Killona and was the second oldest of six children, Nola.com reported.

She worked as a hair stylist at her niece’s salon and was known as Tee Tanka to friends.
