Tottenham will insist on inserting a buy-back clause into any deal involving Harry Kane joining Bayern Munich.

The north London side have held discussions with the German champions regarding a move for the Spurs and England striker, however no agreement has yet been reached.

Tottenham are keen to ensure that they have first option on a move for their record goalscorer should he decide to leave Germany and return to the Premier League in the future, Sky Sports reports.

Daniel Levy is holding out for a fee of £100million for the 30-year-old, however Bayern are believed to be short of that, with the European heavyweights willing to pay up to £86million.

Should Bayern be wanting to complete a move, they’re likely to have to break their all-time transfer record which was set when they paid £68.5million to sign Lucas Hernandez from Atletico Madrid in 2019.

But with Bayern convinced that Kane wants to join them, they could be willing to do what it takes to get a deal over the line.

Kane’s wife, Katie Goodland, has also reportedly been recently spotted looking round houses in Munich amid his heavy links with the German club.

The England captain faces an uncertain future with his contract in north London due to expire next summer.

Kane is showing no sign of signing a new deal after Tottenham finished last term in eighth spot in the Premier League, meaning that not only will they not be in the Champions League, but they’ll miss out on European football altogether.
