After the clash was delayed by over 90 minutes due to adverse weather conditions, the Barcelona legend once again mesmerised his new adoring fans.

His first of the match came in the seventh minute, after he volleyed home from close range after being picked out by Robert Taylor.

Orlando then equalised shortly after, before captain Messi showed his leadership qualities immediately after the break.

Inter were awarded a penalty with it expected Messi would take aim from 12 yards, but he instead allowed teammate Josef Martinez to convert.

Martinez, who tucked his spot-kick away into the bottom left corner, was without a goal in the Leagues Cup prior to the clash against Orlando.

And the Venezuela international then turned provider as he set up Messi in the 72nd minute for his second of the match.

Messi, who now has five goals in three games for Inter, started off the counter-attack by finding Taylor down the left flank, who picked out an unmarked Martinez in the box.

He then unselfishly squared the ball to the 2022 World Cup winner where he fired a right-footed volley into the bottom corner from six yards out.

And he then proceeded to debut another celebration after his brilliant ‘hold my beer’ reaction in last week’s win against Atlanta.

This time, Messi celebrated by performing the ‘Wakanda Forever’ salute – a sign made famous from the Marvel superhero film ‘Black Panther’.

Fans were loving his celebration on social media, as one Twitter user said: “Messi doing the Black Panther celebration. He is Him. GOAT for a reason.”

Another posted: “Messi hits the Wakanda Forever celebration! King of the pitch, ruler of our hearts.”

A third added: “Messi the real Black Panther.”

Messi will now travel with the Inter squad to face FC Dallas in the Round of 16 at the Toyota Stadium.

It is home to the National Soccer Hall of Fame – a fitting place for Messi to showcase his talent.
