An Oklahoma woman was sentenced for her role in a child abuse incident and the bizarre, quite literal, coverup attempt on Friday.

Taylor Ainsworth-Hudson, 28, will spend the next five years behind bars in a Sooner State prison, to be followed up by five years on probation, over child abuse meted out to her stepson.

The defendant was sentenced almost five years after her original arrest in August 2018 – when law enforcement in Midwest City made a chilling discovery: a young boy hiding, and clearly abused, inside of a washing machine. Ainsworth-Hudson and her then-boyfriend, Cody Wayne Hudson, 33, who she has since married, had ordered the boy to stay inside the large appliance while police searched the house.
