The official Chelsea app has now given a hint as to one player who may make a rare appearance in the matchday squad tonight to take on Leeds United.

According to their team news story this morning, manager Mauricio Pochettino could look to his youngsters as he battles with the injury problems in his squad.

The Blues injury list is back up to an unusual high off the back of the recent EFL Cup final defeat against Liverpool.

Christopher Nkunku, who was still being eased back into the side by the time the final came around, is now back on the treatment table for up to another month.

He has joined the likes of Romeo Lavia, Wesley Fofana and Reece James as likely starting XI players when fit who are forced to watch from the sides.

With tiredness likely to play a part after a gruelling 120 minutes on Sunday, Pochettino may seriously consider looking to the youth in order to patch out the depleted squad.

The official club app has now hinted that there are a number of youngsters who could be involved, and one of those is Ronnie Stutter.

The 19-year-old was named on the bench earlier this season for the visit to Bournemouth, although this is the only time he has been part of the first team squad up to now in all competitions.

Instead, most of his good work has been done in Premier League 2, with the forward notching up nine goals in 11 games in that competition this season.

With Armando Broja on loan across West London at Fulham, options to play up front have been seriously limited, with striker in particular a role they are short on.

There is also the option of Deivid Washington to call upon, who was signed for decent money as a young striker with a lot of potential for the future.
