A man has been charged with attempted murder after shots were allegedly fired inside a gym in Sydney’s west.

It’s alleged 30 people were inside the gym on Wentworth Avenue, Wentworthville when the shots were fired, about 7.45pm on February 20.

Police allege the 19-year-old was part of a “joint criminal enterprise responsible for the shooting”.

After the incident, emergency services were called to Fulton Avenue in Wentworthville, where a white scooter was found well alight.

“Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze before the motorcycle was seized to undergo forensic examination.”

The 19-year-old man was arrested at a shopping centre in Bankstown.

He was charged with shoot at with intent to murder and discharge firearm, intend cause grievous bodily harm.
