One manager who is yet to actually coach at Chelsea already seems to have a rapport with the club’s owners.
Former Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick has a good relationship with those in charge at Chelsea, according to journalist Simon Phillips.
On his Substack, Phillips claimed: “Flick has been in England watching a couple of games this last week or so, and he is known to already share a good relationship with Chelsea’s owners.”
The above comes amid uncertainty surrounding the future of Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino is having a first season to forget at Stamford Bridge, with his side sitting in 11th place in the Premier League table. It will now be interesting to see if the Argentine gets a second one in west London. If Chelsea decide to sack him now, they could turn to former Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch, according to Phillips.

Will a good rapport with Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali help Flick to get the Chelsea job if Pochettino is sacked? Possibly.
However, what is really likely to aid Flick is his CV, with the 59-year-old doing an incredible job at Bayern.

There, he won multiple honours, including the Champions League during the 2019/20 season. On Bayern’s way to the trophy, they destroyed Chelsea 7-1 on aggregate in the round of 16.
Ultimately, Flick is probably the sort of appointment Chelsea fans would be happy with, though Pochettino is intent on staying put.
The 52-year-old, for example, has told The Athletic and other outlets that he is not going to quit. At this rate, however, Pochettino is going to be pushed before he even has the chance to consider jumping. In the league, Chelsea do not look to be going anywhere under him and Boehly and Eghbali will surely not tolerate that forever. Pochettino and the team have to improve and quickly.
