Emergency services were called to a property on Belgrave-Gembrook Road in Belgrave about 4.30pm on Sunday after receiving reports of an argument between two men.

Max Lawson, 35, died at the scene.

It’s understood Lawson was visiting the property before the argument broke out. 

A 30-year-old Belgrave man was interviewed and has been released pending further enquiries.

Police are investigating the incident and are yet to determine the man’s death.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is urged to contact authorities.
