It’s been a frustrating season to date so far for Chelsea’s Carney Chukwuemeka.

Carney Chukwuemeka, who’s still only aged 20, has watched most of the campaign so far from the stands because of injury problems.

The box-to-box midfielder has been fit and back with the matchday squad again recently, even coming off the bench for a late cameo in Monday’s league win over Newcastle United. Therefore, he must be desperate to add to his eight appearances so far this season.

Will he get the chance to play this weekend when the Blues host Leicester City in the FA Cup quarter-finals?

There’s cries from some Chelsea fans on social media that Chukwuemeka should be promoted into the starting XI on Sunday afternoon versus Leicester.

The 20-year-old’s certainly a super talent. In fact, he started the opening two league games of this season before his first injury setback.

It’ll be interesting to see if there’s room for him in Mauricio Pochettino’s line-up tomorrow, especially as midfield star Enzo Fernandez is absent through suspension.
