Several people have escaped injury after shots were fired into a home in Melbourne’s south-east overnight.
Police said the incident occurred at a property on Dalray Street in Sandhurst just after 2am.

Neighbours told 9News they were woken by the sound of three or four gunshots.

Four people were inside the home at the time, but no one was injured.

“(She) heard ‘bang, bang’, shots being fired,” one neighbour said.

“I was shocked. I didn’t know what to think, nothing ever happens on this street.”

He said the incident was incredibly concerning.

“I have got kids, it’s so close to home,” the neighbour said.

“I am a bit anxious. I am concerned they might come back. It’s worrying.”

A window was shattered following the shooting. (Nine)

Police established a crime scene at the home today.

Detectives are working to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and investigations are ongoing.
