Sunrise star James Tobin strips off and jumps into an ocean pool

Sunrise star James Tobin stripped off for a swim in an ocean pool in Newcastle on the show on Tuesday morning. 

The presenter, 42, showcased his fit frame during the impromptu swim at the urging of anchor, Edwina Bartholomew. 

James was reporting from Merewether Ocean Baths in the warm weather, with the segment starting innocently enough.

‘Not a bad way to start the day,’ James said while basking in the sunshine.

‘There are so many friendly locals, this is a great spot.’

Edwina, and co-host Mark Beretta, then gave the star a suggestion to ramp up the segment.

‘JT I know you’re precious about your hair, it looks good all the time but I reckon you could get in,’ Edwina said, before James made the plunge

James decided to be a good sport about it and stripped off and jumped into the pool.

Viewers were quick to comment on Instagram, with many calling James a ‘hunk’ in the comments. 

James is known for his good natured presenting.

The TV star was manhandled by a powerlifter on the show last year.
