Reports have claimed that one Chelsea player in particular is letting his teammates know how excited he is to work under incoming manager Enzo Maresca.

The Blues are expected today to make the announcement of a new head coach coming into the club after they made the decision to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino.

It feels as if the decision has not been made purely based on what happened on the pitch, after they rescued a sixth placed finish due to a strong end to the season.

Despite the extensive process that came about hiring the Argentine in the first place a year ago, it looks as if those involved in making the decision have done so in a relatively swift manner.

What remains to be seen though is how the players react to the news, with it being no secret that they were keen admirers of Pochettino and his managerial style.

While it has already been reported that there is an element of excitement about working under Maresca, one player may well know better than the rest what is to come.

Cesare Casadei excited about Maresca

Cesare Casadei spent the first half of last season on loan at Leicester City, where his countryman was in the process of leading them to promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

According to the Evening Standard, the midfielder has given a glowing review of the boss to a number of his new teammates already, suggesting the excitement factor is there as to what they can achieve together.

Casadei wanted to leave

It remains to be seen if Casadei is included in those plans, with it being reported late last season that he had decided he wanted to leave the club already.

Given the fact that he was brought in with plenty of promise, there is likely an element of frustration as to how his first two seasons in England have gone so far.
