Ryan Grafton, 30, died when another car crashed into the ridesharing vehicle he was travelling in about 2.15am on Boundary Road at Wacol in Brisbane’s south-west.

It’s alleged a man driving a Ford Mondeo sped through a red light and ploughed into the Uber.

It’s alleged the driver of the Ford left the scene prior to police arrival.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Fursey has since been charged with murder, dangerous operation of a vehicle causing grievous bodily harm and driving whilst disqualified.

He has also been charged with possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and two counts each of possessing dangerous drugs, receiving tainted property and stealing.

He is due before Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
