A rideshare driver had his car stolen after an attack in Sydney’s north-west this morning.

At about 12.35am, a 49-year-old rideshare driver accepted a booking from two men at an address in Box’s Hill.

The men directed the driver to several locations, including a service station on Penure Street, Rouse Hill, where they bought food at 1.05am.

The driver was instructed to go to other addresses before the men attacked him at the intersection of Kindelan Road and Gibbon Road in Winston Hills at about 1.35am.

Police said the driver ran from the car and sought help from a nearby resident, who called Triple Zero.

The two men drove away in the rideshare driver’s car, a white 2018 VW Tiguan.

Paramedics treated the 49-year-old at the scene before taking him to hospital in a stable condition with head and facial injuries.

Police are investigating and have urged anybody with information to contact Parramatta Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
