The couple and their two children, aged two and 10 months, were at Stockland Glendale about 12.30pm on Sunday when the woman approached them.

Police said she didn’t know the couple and allege she took hold of the pram with the toddler in it.

“The woman attempted to push the pram containing the child away but was stopped by the mother and other members of the public,” police alleged. 

“She then left the shopping centre.”

Police said the parents and children were “shaken but not otherwise hurt”.

When officers confronted a 41-year-old woman at a unit in Windale roughly 24 hours later, she allegedly resisted arrest.

She was eventually charged with stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm, affray and hinder police and granted bail to face Belmont Local Court on July 17.
