Margot Robbie showed just how much times can change as she and husband Tom Ackerley took their seats at Wimbledon’s star-studded Centre Court on Friday.

The actress, 34, who made her first public appearance since announcing the couple were expecting their first child, joined a whole host of fellow A-listers, almost a decade after watching the tournament from the field outside.

Margot nailed maternity chic in a polka dot dress as she tentatively cradled her baby bump which she teamed with black heeled mules, a bowling bag and sunglasses.

Meanwhile Tom, also 34, opted for a beige polo shirt and trousers and packed on the PDA with the gorgeous Barbie star.

As they took to their seats, alongside Hugh Grant and his wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein, the pair seemed more occupied in showering one another with affection than watching the match.

Back in 2015, during a break from filming Suicide Squad, Margot watched the tournament with pals while sipping Pimms after seemingly failing to get a ticket.

Margot, who was living in a budget house share in Clapham at the time, dressed in tennis whites and flashed a huge smile writing: ‘Pimms in the park’.

The actress and pals, including Tom, signed a lease on a ramshackle, four-bedroom property ironically dubbed The Manor.

Although already a household name by then, thanks to her starring role alongside Leonardo Di Caprio in the 2013 Hollywood blockbuster The Wolf Of Wall Street, Margot favoured a ‘student life’.

‘We were like: “Wouldn’t it be funny if we all lived together?” Margot explained, ‘Someone said: “But you don’t live in London,” and I said: “I don’t live anywhere. I’ll move.”‘

‘Those were the best days of my life,’ she has said. ‘For me, where you live and what you do have to be simplistic and comfortable, otherwise how are you possibly going to relax?

‘Clapham has always felt unassuming in the sense you’re just left alone to get on with who you are, and that’s perfect for me.

‘Everyone is wasted and so sweaty. Everyone looks a mess,’ she explained. ‘By the time I make it to Infernos, I look so revolting no one’s going to look twice.’

It was on the sticky Infernos dancefloor and while nursing hangovers on Clapham Common, that Tom and Margot’s friendship blossomed into something more.

However, Margot admitted that she and Tom had initially decided to keep their romantic relationship to themselves.

‘We kept it a secret. Because we weren’t really taking it seriously. “Oh, whatever, we’re just mates, we’re just mates.” And then… everyone found out,’ she explained.

On her friends finding out, she recalled: ‘It was dramatic. I’m not going into the details, but s**t hit the fan. Our house turned into The Jerry Springer Show for a moment there. But then the dust settled, and it was all good.’

The housemates got on so well that in 2015, four of them – Margot, Tom, Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara – founded production company, Lucky Chap. Now worth an estimated £25 million.

Margot and husband Tom said to are relieved that their pregnancy news is out as it has been revealed that they ‘really wanted’ to be parents early in their relationship.

The couple have ‘wanted to start a family for quite some time’ according to sources for People on Tuesday.

The happy news was confirmed earlier this week and the power couple are said to be glad that it is out there as they focus on becoming parents for the first time.

An insider told the weekly: ‘Family means a lot to both of them and they knew early on in their relationship being parents was something they really wanted.

‘They’ve been keeping it under wraps for a while but are happy the news is out.’

Multiple sources had confirmed the exciting news for the couple, who met on the set of the World War II drama Suite Française in 2013, to People on Monday.

In photos obtained by DailyMail.com on Sunday, the Barbie actress could be seen proudly displaying her small, but visible baby bump in a white crop top.

The three-time Oscar nominee looked in high spirits as she bared her stomach while boarding a boat during a holiday to Lake Como with her spouse.
