Seth Rogen has no doubt left his mark on Hollywood as an actor, comedian and filmmaker.
Rogen and Miller have worked on many films together, such as Superbad and Sausage Party.
The Bad Neighbours actor made the bold statement when he made an appearance on The Diary of a CEO podcast.
“There’s a whole huge thing I’m not doing, which is raising children.”
Being married since 2011, Rogen shared how he and Miller had discussed the possibility of parenthood and how they both came to the decision it wasn’t for them.
Rogen believes that not having children has made him more successful, and doesn’t think he would be happier with them either.
The actor and comedian explained why he doesn’t ever want to have children during an appearance on The Diary of a CEO podcast.
“I don’t think it would [make me happier]. I’ve been around a lot of children, I’m not ignorant to what it’s like, I’ve seen everyone I know have kids. I’m 40, I know.”
Rogen expressed his thoughts on how people are assumed to have kids, and that it is deemed the norm in society.
“I think a lot of people have kids before they even think about it, from what I’ve seen, honestly. You just are told, you got through life, you get married, you have kids – it’s what happens.”
After many conversations about the situation with his wife, Rogen expressed how they are both happy with the decision.
“We get to do whatever we want, we are in the prime of our lives, we are smarter than we’ve ever been, we understand ourselves more than we ever have,
We have the capacity to achieve a level of work and a level of communication and care for one another, and a lifestyle we can live with one another that we’ve never been able to live before,
And we can just do that and we don’t have to raise a child – which the world does not need right now.”
Rogen’s next project is the upcoming and highly anticipated Lion King sequel in which Simba shares the story of his father.
Mufasa: The Lion King is set to release on December 20, 2024.
