Brad Pitt has slammed his ex-wife Angelina Jolie for making “wide-ranging and intrusive” demands in their ongoing $350 Million lawsuit.
The news comes on the heels of the current legal battle, which centers around Château Miraval, a French winery the former couple co-owned.
Pitt sued Jolie in back in 2022 after she sold her stake in the winery to Stoli, a company controlled by a Russian oligarch, without his consent.
Pitt claims they intended to keep the business for their children. He also accuses Stoli of attempting a hostile takeover and is seeking to reverse the sale.
Jolie has denied any wrongdoing, asserting she wasn’t required to get Pitt’s approval for the sale.
Stoli, in a $350 million countersuit, alleges that Pitt misused company assets, a claim he refutes.
According to In Touch, Brad Pitt is alleging that Angelina Jolie’s legal team has made 54 requests for documents that he believes are unrelated to their current legal dispute.
It has also been reported that Jolie is asking Pitt to provide all private communications he had with friends and business partners concerning a 2016 altercation between the former couple on a private jet.
She is also requesting any communication he had with the FBI about the incident.
Pitt’s lawyer said in a statement, “If Jolie’s Requests were really about ‘what happened on that plane’ as she claims Pitt’s offer should have sufficed.
“These private, third-party communications are far removed from the issues and allegations in this case, and in many cases, they have nothing but the most tenuous relationship to ‘what happened on that plane.’”
“Jolie, however, wants them anyway as part of her efforts to turn this business dispute into a re-litigation of the former couple’s divorce case.”
Pitt and Jolie famously divorced in 2016, shortly after Pitt was accused of being physically abusive to Jolie and their children during a private flight.
The incident was investigated by both the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services and the FBI, but no criminal charges were filed against Pitt.
