Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things is gearing up for its fifth and final season.
On the occasion of its 8th anniversary, Netflix has released a new behind-the-scenes video of season 5 that sheds light on what fans can expect from the final season of the series.
The video starts with the series creators, Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, announcing, “We’re about halfway through filming now and it’s exciting. There’s so much going on. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Stranger Things season 5.”
The video also features shots of the Hawkins kids in character, along with glimpses of some sets.
“I started when I was 10, and now I’m turning 20,” says star Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven). “It feels very weird.”
“It’s just so exciting. I think this is going to be the best season yet,” adds Noah Schnapp (Will Byers).
The video introduces three new actors joining the show: Nell Fisher, known for Evil Dead Rise, Alex Breaux from Waco: The Aftermath, and newcomer Jake Connelly.
It also offers a peek at the sound stages where the cast has been filming for season 5.
Although season five will be the show’s final season, there are more Stranger Things projects in development.
These include Stranger Things: The First Shadow, a live stage production in London’s West End, and an untitled animated spinoff series.
Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5 does not have a premiere date yet.
