There were a few players at Euro 2024 that Chelsea have been linked with, including Spain stars Nico Williams and Dani Olmo.

After missing out on Michael Olise, Chelsea are still looking to strengthen their attack, hence their reported interest in Nico Williams and Dani Olmo.

Chelsea could rival Barcelona for Williams‘ signature, and any transfer battle for it could be well worth it.

The winger really proved himself at Euro 2024. He scored the winner for Spain in their 2-1 win against England in the final, but stats also show how well he performed and what a good signing he could be for Chelsea this summer.

Nico Williams’ impressive passing stat at Euro 2024

Williams is quickly becoming renowned for being an extremely good dribbler. According to WhoScored, the 22-year-old completed 2.2 dribbles per game during the Euros, which was the second-highest average in his squad.

However, Williams was also a threat with his passing, causing England and others problems with it throughout the tournament.

As per Squawka, he made 46 passes into the opposition box, more than any other player in Germany.

Ultimately, from his performances at Euro 2024 alone, it is not hard to see that he could be a quality addition to Enzo Maresca‘s squad this summer.

Nico Williams an overall threat in and around the box

Over the last year in general, Williams has proven to be extremely dangerous in and around the area.

He has averaged 5.89 touches in the attacking penalty area per 90 minutes, putting him in the 80th percentile among attacking midfielders and wingers (FBref).

All in all, there is so much to like about the Spain international. He would be a welcome addition at Stamford Bridge this summer.

If not, there are alternatives. For example, Chelsea have looked at Crysencio Summerville, though with the Leeds United winger being a Championship player, some supporters may view him as an underwhelming signing.

It is something for Chelsea to think about, though, should they fail to land Williams, who has a €58m (£48.6m) release clause in his contract, according to TEAMtalk.
