The fourth season finale of The Boys, originally titled “Assassination Run,” has been retitled following an assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump.
The incident, which took place during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, prompted Amazon Prime to add a disclaimer to the episode, stating that any similarities to real events are coincidental and unintentional.
Showrunner Eric Kripke and the creative team decided to make the change to avoid any perceived insensitivity.
A statement from Prime Video reads:
