After a barber in Southeast Memphis died while making a home call, the family and neighborhood are mourning.
The barber’s chair, with a brilliant light flashing above it, fulfilled Darwin Hill’s ambition to be an all-star.
The 29-year-old got sadly killed while doing what he liked to do, cutting hair, at 1:30 am on Saturday.
According to Memphis Police, he was killed in a double shooting when someone fired into this Southeast Memphis residence. Police report that a woman suffered significant injuries as well.

Memphis Barber Killed: Darwin Hill Fatally Shot While Cutting Hair
While cutting hair in his salon, Darwin Hill was shot and killed by an unidentified gunman. The death of a young, innocent barber has devastated everyone.
After finishing his work at the time and leaving for home after performing a House call in Southeast Memphis, he got fatally shot.
Darwin was a diligent worker from a middle-class family with aspirations of raising his family’s standard of living.
As part of his daily routine, the 29-year-old Hill was shot dead after having his hair cut short at 1:30 am.
He worked at the Christyles Celebrity Salon by Penny Hardaway. According to owner Christopher Rhodes, Hill had attended a daddy-daughter dance earlier that day.
One individual has been taken into custody by Police, and no complaints have been made yet. The inquiry is still ongoing. The MPD reports that no arrests have been made as of yet.

Dariana Anderson, Darwin Hill’s fiancée, is devastated by his passing.
It was unbelievable to receive such a call two hours after speaking with him since he was wrapping up and getting ready to go home.
Darwin was pleased to be there with his daughter, and he showed images of them where she got dressed, and he was too. Unfortunately, he passed away later that night.
Hill was the young Father of an 8-year-old girl, and a few days after her birthday in December, the couple had welcomed a son, their first child, together.
His fiancee claimed he was at the store if he wasn’t home. What pains Rhodes the most is that Hill was just a witness moving about his day when shots were Fired.
It’s difficult for her because she always had faith in him, and it’s taking a valuable life away—someone who would significantly impact the following generation.
It isn’t easy to see what has happened to poor Darwin because he was very excited about creating and establishing the family he never had.
The family has started a GoFundMe to assist his fiancée and their child while she is on maternity leave.
Hopefully, the killer will soon be put behind bars.
