Charity boss is shocked to find his cat had ordered 19 packets of rosemary from Sainsbury’s – after it sat on his keyboard while he was halfway through doing the online shop

A cat accidentally ordered 19 packets of rosemary after sitting on the keyboard during an online food shop.

The cat’s owner Paul Kissack was completing his weekly Sainsbury’s order when the green-fingered moggy made the move.

When the home delivery arrived, Paul soon realised his pet had sat on the computer keyboard mid-order.

The Group Chief Executive of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation said: ‘If your cat sits on your computer keyboard halfway through an online shop.

‘Always check the basket when checking out.’

He got 15 packets of fresh rosemary weighing 20 grams each and four £1.50 rosemary plants.

The total cost for his rosemary order set Paul back by £13.80 as each packet is priced at 52p online. 

His tweet has been viewed more than 1.3million times – with social media users poking fun at the mishap.

Helen Gou joked ‘You clearly didn’t have the thyme.’

Helen James-Mackey said: ‘Ironically, rosemary is what we’ve planted around our veg patch to repel our cats.

‘They’re supposed to hate the smell.’

Another person said: ‘You’ll be making hunter’s chicken with rosemary roast potatoes for a good month or two with that lot.’
