Bill and Melinda Gates‘ 24-year-old daughter has moved into a $51million six-bedroom penthouse in Manhattan with her new husband.

Jennifer Gates, the eldest daughter of Bill and his ex-wife Melinda, is living in the Tribeca home after it was purchased last month by a Seattle-based trust linked to Gates, the New York Post reported.

The 8,900-square-foot apartment, which has 3,400 square feet of outdoor space, was previously owned by Lewis Hamilton and is the largest in a famous luxury apartment building at 443 Greenwich Street.

The three-level penthouse has six bedrooms, six baths, two powder rooms, 20-foot-high ceilings, multiple terraces and two parking spaces.

It has its own elevator and at the top is a floor to ceiling glass windowed top level with dual terraces flanking an additional penthouse living room, according to an old property listing.

The apartment’s main terrace overlooks northwest Tribeca and the Hudson River and has its own outdoor swimming pool. Other celebrities to have lived in the building include Jennifer Lawrence, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Reynolds, Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal and the Weeknd.

The building on 443 Greenwich Street includes a 70-foot indoor swimming pool and Turkish baths as well as a 5,000 square-foot communal roof terrace, in case Gates gets bored of her own.

Her move into the new penthouse coincides with her $5million Fifth Avenue apartment going up for sale via the same Seattle trust and after she married Olympic Egyptian equestrian Nayel Nassar, 32, in October 2021 at her $16million horse farm in Westchester, which she received as a gift after graduating from Stanford University.

Hamilton sold the apartment in December 2021 for $49.5million despite never having lived in it during the five years he owned it, the Post reported at the time. It was the biggest downtown apartment sale of the year.

It was purchased from Hamilton by a different Seattle trust. It is not known if there is any connection between that trust and the Seattle trust linked to Gates that recently acquired the property.

The apartment was Hamilton’s second downtown penthouse, as he also owned one at nearby 70 Vestry Street, which he bought in 2019 for $40.7million.

Earlier in February it was reported that Jennifer Lawrence sold her apartment in 443 Greenwich for $9.75million, the Real Deal reported.

The seven-story building was built between 1883 and 1884 and was originally a warehouse.

Developer Metro Loft converted the building into luxury condos and launched sales in 2017. It became especially popular among celebrities because of its underground parking lot, enabling them to enter and leave their apartments without being seen.

Two of the fifteen parking spaces in that underground lot now belong to Melinda Gates.
