Horror as three-year-old toddler is killed by a ride-on lawn mower

A three-year-old child has been tragically killed after reportedly being struck by a ride-on lawn mower.

Police are now investigating the accident which occurred on the NSW far south coast on the weekend.

Police were called to Pambula District Hospital on Saturday after the child rushed there suffering with severe injuries.

The toddler later died, despite desperate attempts to revive them.

NSW Ambulance confirmed paramedics attended the incident but were unable to provide further details.

Crime scenes have been established at the hospital and at a property in South Pambula, south-east of Bega.

Police investigations are ongoing and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
