Drivers are facing long delays on their morning commute following an overnight horror crash that has left a man fighting for his life.
The driver smashed his car into a lorry on the M25 near Heathrow Airport just before midnight. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening, where he currently remains.
The ‘serious collision’ resulted in a clockwise closure between J14 and J16 this morning that has motorists facing delays on several major roadways.
Authorities encourage drivers to avoid the area, reroute their morning commute and allow for extra travel time.

The driver smashed his car into the HGV just before midnight yesterday. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening, where he currently remains
Emergency personnel responded to the reports of the multi-vehicle collision at 11.55pm yesterday, Met Police confirmed.
Photographs from the scene show how a car smashed into the rear of a lorry. The car appears to have suffered significant damage.
Metropolitan Police and National Highways Traffic Officers currently remain on scene and road closures remain in place as the collision investigation is carried out.
There is currently over 1 mile of congestion approaching the J14.
London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service also attended the scene.
