Aussie radio star Zan Rowe set to step down from Double J Mornings – as she announces new successor
Zan Rowe has decided to take a break from her role at Double J Mornings.
The Australian radio presenter, 45, announced the shock news via Twitter on Monday.
‘This’ll be my last full week on Double J Radio for the rest of 2023,’ she wrote.
Zan went on to reveal her colleague Karen Leng would host the daily morning program from Mondays to Thursdays from next week.
‘Karen and I have broadcast alongside each other over 20 years,’ Zan told abc.net.au

‘She is the icon I looked up to at community radio when I first started out, and she’s one of Australia’s most respected music brains.
‘Her CD and vinyl collection fills walls of her house, and you’ll always find Karen at the front of every gig. I couldn’t think of a better person to take care of you on Mornings,’ Zan added.
Zan will round out the week hosting Friday Mornings with Take 5 and DESKO.

Zan went on to thank all of her loyal listeners over the years.

Zan will remain with ABC and serve as their national music correspondent.
Her Take 5 with Zan Rowe podcast-turned-TV series will return to television screens on ABC later this year for its second season.
