Married At First Sight star Liam Cooper has announced his split with Samuel Levi after one and a half years together.
The bisexual TV groom, 31, who appeared on the Channel Nine dating show back in 2021, took to his Instagram on Tuesday to reveal the news with his followers, writing: ‘This is going to be a shock for many.
‘As much as it has been for ourselves, and a sad day. But myself and Samuel would like to just let you all know we will be taking a break on our relationship. And not moving forward as a ‘couple’ for now.’
He continued, ‘We entered this relationship very publicly and in the public eye, which is why we also wanted to be transparent with you all.’
Despite the split, the couple remains committed to their friendship and are still living together.

Liam added: ‘We are best friends, soul mates, and will remain doing life together and everything else, including living together. But we are using this time to find each other again. And who knows what the future will hold.’
The news comes just weeks after the pair returned from a romantic overseas getaway.
The hinted at no sign of trouble, when they celebrated their one year anniversary back in July with an overseas trip to New Zealand.

‘I am meeting Samuel’s family and am so excited,’ Liam told Daily Mail Australia at the time.
They were previously unable to travel overseas due to border restrictions.
Liam marked their anniversary with a sweet video montage shared with his 78,000 Instagram followers.

The couple went public with their romance in July 2021, just months after Liam’s stint on the Channel Nine dating show
‘I truly can’t believe it’s been one whole year with you! Life really does work in mysterious ways,’ he wrote.
‘Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought attending an event would lead us to where we are today. Here’s to all the crazy adventures we have had throughout the years.
‘Here’s to you having to put up with me singing country music while we do those crazy long road trips.’
‘I love how our worlds have just come together so easily. Doing life with you isn’t that bad. So here’s to a whole year stuck with you and many more to come. I love you more than yesterday – yesterday you pi**ed me off.’
